GreenTech participation and Innovation Award

From 14 to 16 June Certhon is well-represented at Greentech Amsterdam which takes place in the Rai. The innovative greenhouse builder has its own stand in hall 5: stand 05.250, they will speak during several sessions and participate in a round table discussion. To top it all off, Certhon has also been nominated for the Innovation Award, Category Concept, with its new cultivation system: Gronos. In short, GreenTech Amsterdam is worth a visit just for the high-tech innovator.

Certhon was originally a greenhouse builder and that is clearly visible in the stand: a large greenhouse deck is hanging from the truss. Other activities are presented under that core business. For example, the latest version of the Certhon Harvest Robot is on display at the stand and the very latest innovation is presented in a semi-enclosed area: Gronos. By invitation, a selective target group can admire this revolution in indoor farming.

Certhon will be present with various expertises within the 100m² stand; from plant scientists to technical experts and of course colleagues from the commercial department. Certhon also participates in a ‘smart route’ for talents, organized by AVAG. For that reason also the HR department is represented at the booth of Certhon on June 15 and 16.

GreenTech Innovation Awards
During GreenTech Amsterdam 2022, two innovation awards will be presented to GreenTech exhibitors; the Innovation Award and the Concept Award. And we are very excited to announce that we have been nominated for the GreenTech Concept Awards 2022! Research, development, and progressive insights are important elements to future-proof the company and contribute to a sustainable horticultural sector.

Gronos has been nominated
Gronos is an autonomous Indoor Farming system in which tomatoes, and other crops, can grow optimally. The tomato plants are modified to grow to the ideal, shorter height and are ready for harvest in just 15 weeks. The Gronos system creates the perfect environment for the crop, leading to higher and consistent yields of tasty tomatoes year-round, without the need for pesticides.

Award Ceremony
The award ceremony for both the Innovation Award and the Concept Award will take place on June 14. This is the first day of GreenTech Amsterdam, at Rai Amsterdam.
