Project update Koppert Share this post facebook twitter whatsapp linkedin In recent weeks, significant progress has been made in the development of Koppert’s new breeding facility. The insulation team has completed the Armaflex insulation work around the cold circuits and most of the air ducts. They have now moved on to insulating the hot piping. In Hall 1, TWT is nearly finished with the ductwork around the air handling units. The cooling generation system has now been officially commissioned, and the preparation phase is almost complete. Work on the horizontal tank is scheduled for June, with the chillers to be delivered the following month. This means a lot of activity is expected in the coming period. We are also making strong progress with the electrical installations. Most of the air handling units in the first hall have already been fully connected, and this week important steps were taken in the electrical installations within the climate cells. In the field of control engineering, an important next phase is approaching as well. The RTOs (control descriptions) are in their final stage and will form the basis for programming the Certhon Control System (CCS). Within the CCS, several new software functionalities are being specifically developed for Koppert. This brings us closer to the point where the various systems can be fully integrated and aligned. With this progress, the next phase of the project is coming into view. It is expected that the climate cells will be ready for initial software testing around July 1st — an important milestone in the further development of the project.
