Zoltan Gubacsi Expands with a 2.5-hectare Cucumber Greenhouse Share this post facebook twitter whatsapp linkedin A new 25,260 m² cucumber greenhouse is being built for Zoltan Gubacsi. The expansion combines new construction with the further development of the existing site. The foundation has now been completed and construction of the expansion has begun. The project consists of five sections and connects to the existing site. The expansion combines new construction with the optimization of the existing greenhouse. Three sections will be built end-to-end with the current greenhouse, while two sections will form a lateral extension. In addition, both the new and existing greenhouses will be equipped with insect netting. Efficiency, Light and Energy Savings The greenhouse will be constructed with a ridge height of 7 meters and equipped with Vetrasol Mid-Iron diffuse glass featuring a double-sided AR coating for optimal light distribution. All sections will be fitted with an energy-saving shade curtain with high light transmission (Luxous 1147 FR). In addition, one section will be equipped with an extra shade curtain (Obscura 9950 FR/W) to limit the emission of LED light. Furthermore, an LED lighting system will be installed in two sections, enabling optimal growing conditions to be created even during darker periods.With this expansion, Gubacsi Zoltan is investing in additional growing space and modern greenhouse facilities.
